For kids who learn by moving.
Youth movement coaching that builds confidence.
This is not a normal sports class. I use movement, games, obstacle courses and play-based coaching to help young people build coordination, strength, focus, resilience and trust in their bodies.

The point
Movement is the tool. The child is the focus.
Every session is designed around the child in front of me: their confidence, nervous system, attention, body awareness and willingness to try. We are not chasing perfect technique. We are building capable, adaptable young humans.
Parents often come because their child needs more confidence, has coordination challenges, dislikes sport, has lots of energy to channel, or needs a safer way to learn movement.
Who this helps
Kids and teens who need movement to make sense.
Confidence
For children who avoid movement, compare themselves, give up quickly or need success they can feel.
Coordination
Balance, agility, spatial awareness, running, jumping, landing and whole-body control.
Neurodivergent
ADHD, autism, dyspraxia and sensory differences, with coaching that adapts to attention, regulation and processing.
Play
Obstacle courses, games, movement puzzles and challenges that teach without feeling like drills.
PLAY framework
The Appel Way for young movers.
Presence
I know my body. Awareness, balance, coordination and regulation.
Longevity
I take care of my body. Strength, mobility and healthy movement habits.
Agility
I can adapt. Problem solving, reaction, confidence and flexible thinking.
Yielding Joy
I love to move. Positive experiences that create real motivation.

What we build
Physical, mental, emotional and social skills.
Obstacle courses can train sequencing and working memory. Balance games can build proprioception and emotional regulation. Reaction games can build inhibitory control. Team games can build communication and perspective-taking.
The magic is that the child feels like they are playing, while the coaching is developing the skills underneath school, sport, friendships and daily life.
Parent questions
Frequently asked questions.
Is this only for sporty children?
No. It is especially useful for children who do not feel sporty yet. We start where they are.
Do you work with ADHD, autism or dyspraxia?
Yes. Sessions are neurodivergent-friendly and individualised, with attention to regulation, sensory needs and confidence.
Is it therapy?
No. It is coaching. I am body-first and non-clinical, while still being thoughtful about development, nervous systems and movement patterns.
